- Simien Mountains National Park: a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Ethiopia, renowned for its spectacular landscapes, imposing peaks, endemic fauna and Afro-Alpine flora.
- Bahir Dar: a lively city, overlooking Lake Tana, the largest lake in Ethiopia. From here, we will explore the islands of the lake, treasure chests of richly decorated monasteries.
Your trip day by day:
1. Addis Ababa: arrival and visit of the capital, a dynamic and surprising city.
2. Addis Ababa – Tigray: flight to Mekelle and transfer to the heart of Tigray, where we will visit two of its suggestive rock-hewn churches.
3. Tigray – Axum: proceed to Axum, the ancient capital, and visit its most important sites.
4. Axum – Lalibela: flight to Lalibela and first explorations of its incredible monolithic churches.
5. Lalibela: deepening the visit of Lalibela, with an excursion to a church outside the town of Lalibela.
6. Lalibela – Gondar: flight to Gondar and visit of the city and its church and castles.
7. Gondar-Simien-Gondar: Visit to the Simien Mountains National Park.
8. Gondar – Bahir Dar: transfer to Bahir Dar and visit to the majestic Nile Falls.
9. Bahir Dar – Addis Ababa: excursion to the monasteries on Lake Tana and return flight to Addis Ababa.
